Accredited Buyer Representative

One of the most popular designations, ABR® shows buyers that you have been trained and have the experience to properly represent them. ABR® is attainable by REALTORS® of any experience level.

The required courses consist of one two-day class, eight hours each day, and an elective eight hour one-day class, each followed by a final examination. Short Sales and Foreclosure (SFR) courses qualify as ABR® elective credit.

In order to earn the ABR® designation you must take and pass the courses, and verify five closed transactions in which you have represented the buyer within 36 months of taking the class.

Man Gives Thumbs Up

How important is it to treat your clients or customers fairly and build positive relationships? The 2009 Edelman Trust Survey, a survey of more than 4,400 people across the globe, found that more than 91 percent of respondents chose to buy products from companies considered trusted. On the other hand, 71 percent indicated that over the past 12 months they refused to purchase from a company they distrusted.
