Important Notice Regarding Post-Licensing Credits for New Agents

Between July 1 and Dec. 31, 2013, there will be two types of post-licensing systems/tracks available to the new licensee to accomplish his required 30 hours of post-licensing: the Three-Track system and the Single-Track system.

Courses approved for post-licensing credits under the Three-Track system will expire on Dec. 31, 2013. If a new licensee has started or starts his post- licensing credits under the Three-Track system he must complete the 30 hours under the Three-Track system by Dec. 31, 2013 or he will lose those credits and would have to start over with the Single-Track approved course credits.

The two types of post-licensing approved tracks/credits cannot be combined.

You can start or finish your Three-Track credits with Alpha in the 30-hour QUICKSTART© classroom or through our distance learning post-licensing courses.

Dr. Paul Bishop, vice president for research at the National Association of REALTORS®, talks about how buyers find agents April 4 at Educate 4 Success. More than 100 people attended the event. Click here to download the presentation given by Dr. Bishop.

Contract Pitfalls

Coleman
Lascara

The days of the one-page contract are long gone. Contract Pitfalls, one of our four-hour related continuing education credit courses, will identify areas in a contract that bring about the most controversy between sellers, buyers and agents. Understanding these pitfalls will allow the licensee to better serve the public and increase their awareness to the terms of the contract.

The classroom sessions are taught by local attorneys Donnie Coleman and Dominic Lascara.

Check our classroom schedule to attend.

VREB Inspections

Virginia Real Estate Board Member Cliff Wells discusses the random inspections of firms being undertaken by VREB.

How important is it to treat your clients or customers fairly and build positive relationships? The 2009 Edelman Trust Survey, a survey of more than 4,400 people across the globe, found that more than 91 percent of respondents chose to buy products from companies considered trusted. On the other hand, 71 percent indicated that over the past 12 months they refused to purchase from a company they distrusted.
