Principles of Real Estate Online Course
Whether looking at the real estate market for investment, to bolster the position of your own home, or a career, the 60-hour Principles of Real Estate course can help. The online course—using the same successful concepts taught in the classroom—is designed to prepare students for the Virginia State Examination for licensure as a salesperson. Students can take the course at their own pace with interaction provided through our “Community” feature and e-mail support from instructors. Included is a practice exam which mimics the Virginia state licensing exam.
The course includes basic laws governing the ownership and transfer of real estate, the terminology associated with the real estate industry, terms of sales contracts and other documents used to transact real estate business. In addition, students will learn the Virginia regulations that control the real estate industry, how mortgages work, and the advantages and disadvantages of certain types of financing. Instruction in fair housing and other federal and state laws that guarantee equal rights and protect consumers will help the student in the practice of real estate. A final exam similar to the VA licensing exam will conclude the course, but a proctored final exam is required for those seeking a real estate license
