ONLINE COURSE
Principles Of Real Estate
Whether looking at the real estate market for investment, to bolster the position of your own home, or a career, the 60-hour Principles of Real Estate course can help. The online course—using the same successful concepts taught in the classroom—is designed to prepare students for the Virginia State Examination for licensure as a salesperson. Students can take the course at their own pace with interaction provided through our “Community” feature and e-mail support from instructors. Included is a practice exam which mimics the Virginia state licensing exam.
The course includes basic laws governing the ownership and transfer of real estate, the terminology associated with the real estate industry, terms of sales contracts and other documents used to transact real estate business. In addition, students will learn the Virginia regulations that control the real estate industry, how mortgages work, and the advantages and disadvantages of certain types of financing. Instruction in fair housing and other federal and state laws that guarantee equal rights and protect consumers will help the student in the practice of real estate.
A final exam similar to the VA licensing exam will conclude the course, which students will have 180 days to complete. A proctored final exam is required for those seeking a real estate license

"I’m not usually very confident in self-paced classes, but this one was awesome! When I e-mailed the instructors for help, it was in minutes I received a response. Even through e-mail they made things very clear. I highly recommend this course and am encouraging my husband to take it."

"I took the Alpha College of Real Estate online course, I really liked the way the information was presented in a concise and easy to understand format. I passed both the Alpha exam and state exam with confidence the first time. I will continue to use Alpha for all of my real estate educational needs."

RE MARKETING TIPS
How important is it to treat your clients or customers fairly and build positive relationships? The 2009 Edelman Trust Survey, a survey of more than 4,400 people across the globe, found that more than 91 percent of respondents chose to buy products from companies considered trusted. On the other hand, 71 percent indicated that over the past 12 months they refused to purchase from a company they distrusted.
